How condition changes resale value (and how to price for it)
Condition is usually the single biggest driver of resale price. How to tier it, and why a blended number leaves real money on the table.
For most collectibles, condition moves price more than anything else — often by multiples, not percentages. So a value blended across conditions is close to useless for the one item in your hand.
Tier before you price
Group your comps into the condition bands your category actually uses — graded vs raw, mint/near-mint/played, working/for-parts — and price within a band.
Don't average across bands
A played-copy seller who prices off near-mint comps sits unsold; a near-mint seller who prices off played comps gives away real money.

When you can point to the comps, the condition, and the sample size, your number survives a buyer's pushback. A bare price doesn't.
FlipWorth splits the median by condition for exactly this reason, and keeps the methodology attached to every estimate so it stays defensible.
